Be part of our Super Secret Soft Art Project!
New and experienced knitters, crocheters, and fiber artists needed to work on the Manchester Community Library’s super secret soft art community project. Interested? Stop in at the Library to register.
We will also be offering a Beginners Knitting Workshop on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. and a Beginners Crochet Workshop on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, 2 to 4 p.m.
You can knit, crochet or combine the two. We have basic patterns available, or pick a pattern/technique you would like to donate to the cause.People are welcome to use their own yarns and needles (size 10 and up). However, free supplies of yarn and needles will be available on a first come, first served basis on Yarn Pickup Day which will be held in the Library on Thursday, August 17, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. People who have not already registered can do so on that day.
All are welcome to be part of this exciting, evolving, free community project — kids and adults alike. Involvement can vary from one piece to as many as one would like to make. Be part of this magical project where the whole will be surprisingly greater than the sum of its parts.
For more information or to donate yarn or needles, contact Janet by phone at 549-4580 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
