Books, Prizes, and Programs for All Ages – Join the 2026 Summer Reading Program
Summer Reading is in full swing at Manchester Community Library, and there’s still plenty of time to join the fun. Readers of all ages can participate in challenges, attend special programs, discover new books, and be entered to win exciting prizes throughout the summer. Check it out by age category below!
Track your reading! It doesn’t matter what you read, whether you’re reading by yourself or with the help of an older reader. Use a reading log to color in a dinosaur fossil for every 10 minutes spent reading. When you’ve filled in a whole sheet (5 hours of reading), bring it in to the Youth Desk in the Children’s Library at MCL for a free book to help you continue on your Summer Reading journey. Each time you bring in a completed reading log, the dino-tastic prizes get better and better!

Submit book reviews in the Children’s Library to earn entries for the Summer Reading Program Raffle. Each entry gives you another chance to win one of these fantastic prizes:

Summer Reading isn’t just for kids – adults can join in on the challenge, too! Complete Summer Reading Bingo cards (available at the MCL Help Desk) to receive a coupon for a free book from our ongoing book sale cart, and get a ticket to enter into the raffle drawing for fabulous prizes at the end of the summer! The more Bingo cards you complete, the better your chances of winning!
