NaNoWriMo Kick Off Event

In support of all local authors - published and not, MCL is making each Saturday in the month of November a Come Write In.  From 11am to 3pm our doors are open and writers have a designated space in which they can create. Come meet with other writers in the area who have taken on the NaNoWriMo challenge.  Find support and write your heart out.

The Mountain Goat presents Martin Pazzani

The Manchester Community Library and The Mountain Goat welcome Martin Pazzani, author of the book Get Outside, Secrets of Aging Well. Martin is a "fitness executive and mountaineer" who has hiked and climbed on all seven continents. He will share stories of his trekking and climbing adventures while he makes the case for hiking up in the hills as the key to a longer, happier, and healthier life. Copies of his book will be available for purchase.

Mind of a Killer

Join us for an evening of fascinating discussion with John Olszewski as he reads from his books, The Long Dark Walk and Serial Shorts.  He will discuss his personal findings from research on famous murderers around the world, including mass killers, serial killers, spree killers, and even professional athletes who ended up in prison.  He welcomes questions and looks forward to sharing his knowledge.  Books will be available after for purchase if interested.

The Library in partnership with the Northshire Bookstore are excited to host author Maria Hummel on Feb. 5th as she presents her new book Goldenseal. "A Gentleman in Moscow meets My Brilliant Friend in this novel of two estranged friends who reunite to confront each other and the devastating betrayal that tore them apart."
