MCL Appropriation Now to be Included in Town of Manchester General Budget

Beginning this year, MCL will move from an annual appropriation request to a more stable and consistent three-year agreement with the Town of Manchester. Under this model, the Library’s funding will be included annually as a line item in the Town budget, as is the case with many other public libraries in Vermont and across the country.

As MCL celebrates its 10th anniversary, this is an important step forward in how we partner with the Town of Manchester. After nearly a decade of stable operations and growing community impact, the Library and Town are aligning our funding process to better reflect this shared success.
