Thank you for attending our event this past Saturday, July 22nd – Literacy for All! 

Miss Vermont’s Teen, Ginger Ragaishis held a very engaging conversation with our local community about her personal journey with a “hidden disability” and Defying Limits: Breaking Down the Invisible Barriers of a Hidden Disability, an organization she founded. Participants learned how they, too, can navigate a learning disability with success! 

Miss Vermont, Yamuna Turco discussed her very important literacy platform with “One Book, One Child, which focuses on improving childhood literacy through increasing access to books in schools and libraries.”

This event was offered as part of Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities Grant, an initiative of the American Library Association (ALA) in collaboration with the Association for Rural & Small Libraries (ARSL).
